What You Eat May Cause Memory Problems
Did you know that there are some ingredients in packaged foods that cause memory loss and other brain problems?

Life is busy and after a hard day at work, the last thing you feel like doing is cooking dinner – yes? Because it is so much easier just to buy packaged foods that are quick and easy to prepare and eat!

But did you know that packaged foods contain ingredients that can affect your memory and brain health? It is very important to read the ingredients list on the packaged foods. There are a number of ingredients that research has proven to affect your memory and brain health.

Some of these dangerous ingredients are:-

High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS). Research has previously revealed how fructose harms the body through its role in diabetes, obesity and fatty liver. A new UCLA study is the first to show how a diet steadily high in fructose slows the brain, hampering memory and learning.

Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) (621). When we eat foods high in MSG, excess glutamate gets into the brain at much higher concentrations than normal, causing overstimulation and damage to the brain cells.

Aspartame (951). Excessive exposure to aspartame can cause damage to the brain cells.

If these types of dangerous ingredients in packaged food products are eaten regularly, over time they may be affecting your memory and brain health.

Start looking at the ingredients list of the foods that you regularly buy, to ensure that these three ingredients are not included. Have a look in your pantry and check to see if there are any packaged food with these three ingredients listed, and if so, do not use them.

What would be an even better solution is to really cut back on packaged foods, be less reliant on them and start eating foods that are not in a package for example, fresh fruit, vegetables, nuts, fish, meat and chicken.

It is vitally important to be aware of what ingredients are in the food you are eating. Now that you have this information, you can start making changes in the choices of foods that you are eating, which will help to protect and improve your memory and brain health.
