Smart Brain Health Centre
The Smart Brain Health Centre specialises in the prevention of memory problems and improving brain health. We focus on helping working men and women aged 35 and over, who are affected by stress, anxiety or depression which are some of the causes of memory problems. These memory problems are affecting their job, career and life.
There has been a huge increase in the number of diagnosed cases of Alzheimer’s disease/dementia and research shows that 55% of women and 45% of men are affected.
At this present moment in time, there is very little help or advice to be found about what you can do if you have memory problems. If nothing is done about memory problems or they are ignored, then your memory will get worse. This is where the Smart Brain Health Centre comes in – being the first Health Centre in Sydney that specialises in Prevention, Treatment, Rehabilitation and Improvement of Memory Problems.
The Smart Brain Health Centre addresses this important need in very positive ways through:
- Helpful and usable information contained in the book “Smart Brain, Healthy Brain”
- The latest research updates and information on brain health in our Newsletters, E-Books and Blogs
- Our Information Nights, Talks & Events
- Smart BRAIN TRAINING, which has the potential to improve cognitive function
- Our comprehensive Smart Brain Health PROGRAM
We are passionate about helping working women and men and Retirees who are struggling with foggy thinking and forgetfulness. The Smart Brain Health Program has been developed to help improve your memory, which will make a positive difference in your life, now and in the future.

Louise Hallinan is the International Award-winning Author of the book “Smart Brain, Healthy Brain”, a fully qualified and accredited Natural Health Practitioner and has been working in the health industry for over 12 years. Louise has recently been awarded “Highly Commended for Practitioner of the Year” in the ATMS and Nature & Health Awards 2016, as recognition of her work by the Natural Health Industry.
Her mother, Alice, suffered with Alzheimer’s disease for many years and passed away in 2000. The personal experience has given Louise a deep understanding of the devastation caused by this disease. Louise was told by doctors at that time it was hereditary and that she may have a chance of getting it herself. Spurred on by this shock, Louise researched everything she could about Alzheimer’s disease to find what can be done to possibly avoid or prevent this from happening.
Louise co-wrote a research paper in 2003, “Alzheimer’s Disease: A homeopathic look at Treatment and Prevention”, a copy of which is in the Alzheimer’s Australia library in Sydney.
Louise has been researching memory problems and their causes over the past decade, to find the answers so many are looking for. All this information has been backed up by medical and scientific research studies and put together in her first book “Smart Brain, Healthy Brain”.
“Smart Brain, Healthy Brain” has recently won the Silver Medal in the ‘Living Now’ Book Awards (USA) in the Health and Wellness category.
“Smart Brain, Healthy Brain” has also been selected by Amazon.com as one of the “Best Books of the Month”.
Louise has also done many Radio Interviews not only in Australia but also has been interviewed internationally on Radio NewsTalk 650 CKOM Saskatchewan, Canada.
Her Australian Radio interviews are Sydney: 2GB, 2UE, 2CC; Perth: 6PR, 6IX, Radio West and Curtin FM; Melbourne: Casey Radio 97.7FM and Hobart: 7HO. All of these can be found on the Media page on this website.
Louise has had many speaking engagements including being a Presenter at the Mind Body Spirit Festival in Sydney in May and October last year. She has also presented to many Retirement Villages, Aged Care centres, Libraries and Community centres sharing information about the many things that can be done to improve your memory and brain health.
Alzheimer’s Australia have also welcomed “Smart Brain, Healthy Brain” by having copies available in each of their branch Libraries.
In honour of her mother, Louise established The Hallinan Memory Clinic in 2013 in Sydney. In late 2014 she established the Smart Brain Health Centre in order to help those experiencing memory problems. This is the only Natural Health Centre in Sydney specialising in the prevention of memory problems and improving Brain Health. Louise has developed the Smart Brain Health Program, utilising the knowledge gained from her in depth research.
Louise believes that there is so much that can be done to help those who are experiencing memory problems, or who may have been diagnosed with early Alzheimer’s disease/dementia. This has become the focus and purpose of her work that she is so passionate about.
Louise’s immediate goal is to give hope to those diagnosed with Younger Onset Dementia / Alzheimer’s Disease/Dementia, by sharing positive information and knowledge through the Smart Brain Health Program. Then you may be able to integrate this positive information and knowledge into your own lives to enable you to independently protect your own brain health.
And this in turn will help Louise to achieve her long term goal, which is to be able to reduce the numbers of people being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease/dementia in the future.
It was from her own personal experience that led Louise into becoming a natural health practitioner. She contracted dysentery from drinking contaminated water and had chronic gastroenteritis for 6 years. She was told by doctors she had to “live with it”, but eventually regained good health after doing her own research. After such great results, Louise studied natural medicine and graduated with a Diploma of Nutrition in 2000 and Diploma of Homeopathy in 2004.
Louise established Forestville Natural Health and later Brookvale Natural Health treating various health conditions. Over those years she consistently found many people struggling with poor memory, foggy thinking and forgetfulness. This was an area that Louise had an intense concern and interest due to her mother having had Alzheimer’s disease.
